MAS Engineering Training Centre (METC)

The Malaysia Airlines Engineering Training Centre (METC) is an integral component of the MAE offering a 5-year Trainee Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and a 2-year Trainee Junior Technical Programme train by service provider, Dilog Training and Services.

Trainees of the 5-year programme will first undergo a basic 3-year course leading to the acquisition of a Basic Aircraft Maintenance License, issued by the Malaysian Department of Civil Aviation (DCA). Upon completion of the training, the qualified candidates will be absorbed for the Aircraft Type Training programme to qualify as company-approved Type-Rated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.

Under the Trainee Junior Technical Programme, the trainees will be exposed to perform tasks laid down by the authorities for regular maintenance of the aircraft. Upon completion of the training, they will received a Category A license issued by the Malaysian DCA.
